Nuwave Community Media is a nonprofit dedicated to helping people navigate a fast‑changing digital world with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Media, technology, and marketing shape how we think, feel, and show up every day — especially for young people who are creating content, building identity, and seeking information online. We bridge the gap by teaching communities how to understand media’s influence, evaluate messages critically, and share their own stories with intention.
Our work promotes informed decision‑making, ethical communication, and resilience in a world where misinformation spreads quickly. At Nuwave, media literacy isn’t just a skill — it’s a pathway to healthier choices, stronger identity, and empowered storytelling.
There are many ways to support Nuwave’s work and help amplify our impact:
• Donate and encourage others to invest in media literacy and community storytelling.
• Share our mission with schools, families, and organizations that could benefit from our programs.
• Volunteer your time and expertise to help shape our strategy, programs, and creative ecosystem.
• Join us as a podcast guest and contribute your voice to conversations that uplift and inform.
• Engage with our content — follow us on social media, like and share our posts, and subscribe to our podcasts.
• Join our email list and invite others to stay connected as we grow.
• Share our Spotify shows with people who might resonate with the stories and insights we highlight.
Every action helps us reach more communities and strengthen digital wellness for all.
Our programs support a wide range of ages and learning environments.
While our student programming is designed primarily for ages 12–24, we work with learners of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences. Because social media and digital influence reach everyone, our mission extends across generations.
We focus on building the knowledge, attitudes, and skills needed for healthy development, strong communication, and safe, empowered engagement online. Together, we’re creating a community that promotes awareness, combats negativity, and models empathy in the digital world.
Yes. We offer both in‑person and virtual programming.
During the COVID‑19 pandemic, we adapted quickly to ensure our workshops, classes, and podcast‑based learning could continue without interruption. Today, we continue to offer flexible remote options for schools, nonprofits, and community partners.
